This tutorial includes a simple detailed outline drawing of a firefly with step by step explanation. The above image represents your final outline of firefly, which we are going to draw below. NOTE:
While drawing, makes sure to use your pen or pencil lightly, especially for rough drawing. Additionally, erase some of the outlines when and where required. Follow the instructions carefully and don’t skip any of the steps.
Step 1: DRAWING A WING OF A FIREFLY
Start with the drawing of the wing in an oval shape in a slant position as shown below.
Step 2: DRAWING THE HEAD OF FIREFLY
For the head, draw a circle and connect it with the wing by a curved line.
Step 3: DRAWING THE THORAX PART OF FIREFLY
Draw the curved line mention in the drawing below in black color.
Step 4: DRAWING AN ABDOMEN OF FIREFLY
- First, draw a curved line connecting with the thorax and the wing.
- Draw another curved line as highlighted in black.
Step 5: DRAWING THE GLOWING PART OF ABDOMEN
- Continuing with the above step, Draw four rhythmic curved lines for the lower abdomen part as shown in the image.
Step 6: DRAWING ANTENNAE OF A FIREFLY
- For the antennae, draw two spike shapes on the head of a firefly.
Step 7: DRAWING MOUTHPART OF A FIREFLY
- Draw two V shape curved lines for the mouth part of a firefly – mentioned below.
Step 8: DRAWING THE LEGS OF FIREFLY
- Draw the three legs by using lines with your free hand.
Step 9: DRAWING EYE OF A FIREFLY
- First, draw a circle in the head part for the eye.
- And along with that, draw a straight line on the wing of a firefly.
Step 10 (FINAL): SHOWING A GLOW WITH THE LINES
- Draw a small circle inside the eye to make it look more attractive as shown.
- At last, draw small lines around the end part of a firefly.
- With this, you have completed your firefly drawing.
