How to draw Shinobu Kocho

Hello and welcome back to our new tutorial. Today, we are going to draw Shinobu Kocho from Demon slayer in a simple and very easy way. INFORMATION ABOUT SHINOBU KOCHO

Shinobu Kocho was a major supporting character in the anime Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) and also in the manga. She was the Insect Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. She was the adoptive older sister of Kanao Tsuyuri and also the younger sister of Kanae Kocho.

NOTE:

While drawing, makes sure to use your pen or pencil lightly, especially for rough drawing. Additionally, erase some of the outlines when and where required as you move further. Follow the instructions carefully and don’t skip any of the steps.


Step 1: ROUGH DRAWING

In this step, we are going to draw the basic gesture of Shinobu Kocho.

  • First, start to draw with the outline of the face as shown below.
  • After that, draw the horizontal and vertical lines on the face for the correct proportion.
  •  Now, draw the basic form of hair as shown.
  • Further, draw the small neck and then basic outline of the standard Demon Slayer uniform as mentioned below.
  • Now, draw the basic outline of the haori (coat) as shown below.
  • At last, draw the right-hand approaching forward (left side of your drawing).
  • And draw the left hand holding a sword (right side of your drawing).

Step 2: PROCEEDING TOWARDS MAIN DRAWING

In this step, we are going to start with our main drawing by referring to the rough drawing (step 1).

  • First, draw the outline of the face, then draw the hair as mentioned below.
  • Now, just draw the outline of the standard Demon Slayer uniform – mentioned in the black color.

Step 3:

In this step, we are going to draw the right hand.

  • Follow step 1-rough sketch and draw the right hand of Shinobu approaching forward – highlighted in black color.
  • Further, draw a single curved line for the haori (coat) highlighted below.

Step 4:

In this step, we are going to draw the left hand holding a Shinobu sword.

  • First, draw the haori (coat) of the left hand of the Shinobu – highlighted in black color.
  • Now,  draw the flower pattern on the holding base of the sword and from that point draw the sword coming in the front as shown below.
  • Further on the right hand of Shinobu (left side of your drawing), draw the haori (coat) shown in blue color.

Step 5:

In this step, we are going to draw the butterfly design haori (coat) of Shinobu.

  • To draw the haori (coat) use curved lines which are mentioned in black color lines.
  • And also draw the butterfly shape hair pin.

Step 6:

In this step, we are going to draw the detailing of the face and the uniform.

  • For the face detailing (refer to step 1), first, draw the eyebrows then eyelashes, eyes, nose, and then sweet smiling lips.
  • For the uniform, first, draw the collar and then the uniform button.
  • Further, draw the belt on the waist, folds on hakama pants, and draw the sandals with the white straps.

Step 7:

In this step, we are going to draw the butterfly pattern on the haori (coat), as the haori has a butterfly wing pattern, whenever she moves it appears like the butterfly wings

  • Draw the patterns by simply using the small curved lines as highlighted below in black color.

Step 8 (final):

In this step, we are going to draw small details.

  • Now, first, draw the details of the hair and then draw the patterns on the butterfly hairpin as shown in black color.
  • At last, draw some detailing highlighted below in black color.
  • Well done! You have completed your drawing very nicely.
